The problem
Four years of work, filed in a notebook nobody can verify.
Apprenticeship hours are the most valuable thing you own before you are licensed, and almost nothing protects them. Here is the difference between how the record usually gets kept and how it should be kept.
The old way
Paper & memory- Hours live in a spiral notebook, a truck glovebox, or somebody’s payroll system.

Log the shift
Pick the category, confirm the hours, name the jobsite. It works in a basement with no signal and syncs when you surface. Nothing waits on a connection.

Send the week for signature
Friday, the week goes out as one link. Your supervisor opens it, adjusts anything that is off, and signs. The moment they do, the hours are sealed and can no longer be edited.

The record follows the worker, not the payroll.
Apprentices change shops. Shops close, get sold, and lose records. A licensing record that lives inside one employer’s system is a record you can lose in a week. JourneyProof never puts it there.

Know what you are short of while you can still fix it.
A total is not a qualification. States want the hours distributed across specific kinds of work, and the line you are missing is almost never the one you would guess. JourneyProof measures your record against the pack, continuously.

Append-only history
Signed entries are never edited in place. A correction is a new amendment that points back at what it replaces, and both stay readable.
Content hashing
Each signature seals a hash of exactly what was signed: hours, categories, dates, jobsite. Change any of it and the seal no longer matches.
Expiring signing links
Supervisor links are single-purpose, scoped to one week, and dead after 72 hours. Nothing long-lived is left sitting in an inbox.
Least access by default
Employers see the hours worked under their licence and nothing else. Leaving revokes write access the same day.
